In Cameroon, the BEPC (Brevet d'Etudes du Premier Cycle) is a diploma awarded to students who successfully pass their exams at the end of the first cycle of secondary education. The BEPC is the equivalent of the Brevet diploma in other French-speaking countries. Obtaining the BEPC is generally required to access the second cycle of secondary education, which includes the classes of Secondary, First and Secondary. Terminale. The baccalaureate in Cameroon is the final exam which marks the end of secondary education and allows students to access higher education. It is also known as the "Baccalaureate of Secondary Education" (BAC).The baccalaureate is a national examination that assesses students' knowledge and skills in different subjects, including specialized subjects chosen by students based on their interests and professional aspirations. Successful completion of the baccalaureate is often necessary for admission to universities and higher education establishments. In English, the baccalaureate could be translated as "Secondary School Leaving Certificate" or simply "High School Diploma".
